Tile and Grout

TILE AND GROUT CLEANING:
The porcelain tile found on bathroom counters and floors cannot be sealed. The tile does not absorb water. The problem with porcelain is that grease and oil from peoples hands, molds, bacteria, soap scum and hard water stains all end up in the grout. It’s important to use the right cleaners for the job.

RESTORATION CLEANING FOR TILE COUNTERTOPS:

  1. Prepare a solution of “Heavy Duty ”  diluted 4 ounces per gallon of water.
  2. Spray solution on area to be cleaned and scrub with a brush or pad till a light foam develops.
  3. Allow 2 minutes dwell time.
  4. Rinse area with a solution of “New Look” diluted 4 ounces per gallon of water to remove any detergent residues and neutralize the pH.
  5. Dry the counter and seal the grout using “Crystal Shine”.
  6. If the faucets are white with hard water stains use “New Look” diluted 4 ounces per gallon of water and a blue pad to remove the stains. Do not use screens or pumice stone as these can damage the finish. Dwell time may be required with heavy mineral build up.

DAILY MAINTENANCE:

  1. Use a trigger sprayer to lightly mist counter tops with a disinfectant cleaner.
  2. Allow 10 minutes dwell time then scrub with a clean, damp towel.
  3. Once the tiles are clean and dry apply the ready to use solution of “Crystal Shine” to keep the tile clean longer and protect the grout.

RESTORATION CLEANING FOR TILE FLOORS AND GROUT:

  1. Wet the floor using “Heavy Duty” diluted 4 ounces per gallon water.
  2. Scrub the area using the Cimex Machine with the shampoo brushes installed to clean the area.
  3. Rinse away the soil and cleaning agent.
  4. Once the tile and grout  is clean scrub and neutralize the area using the shower feed on the Cimex with “New Look” diluted 4 ounces per gallon of water.
  5. Now that the floor has been cleaned and neutralized flush the area with water and allow to dry.
  6. Once completely dry seal the grout with “Grout-Seal”.

DAILY MAINTENANCE:

  1. 1. Using a pump-up sprayer apply disinfectant solution around toilets and urinals.
  2. Pour “Odor-Zyme” down the drain once per week.
  3. Damp mop floors with “New Look” diluted 4 ounces per gallon of water to keep the floors non slippery and the grout looking great.
